I've had him cause my mass air flow sensor to fail in the past but it's most likely cuz when you clean The filter yourself and then reoil it, you tend to put too much oil on yourself thinking more is better. when actually with these guys Les is more. It didn't foul my mass airflow sensor till after I had cleaned it at least once probably twice and I'm sure I definitely put too much oil on it. I could have cleaned the mass air flow sensor myself if I've known about it but it was covered under the cars extended warranty They just replaced the filter They can't void your warranty unless they can prove the part you put on caused the damage nobody's going to go through that court battle with you

Those filters are notorious for sacrificing particulate passthrough for airflow. Some guy you can find on RUclips even did a comparison to having no filter and it was almost peak for peak with particulate passthrough. It you’re gunning for reliability and affordability, stay away from

Good find. Most likely it's a carburetor issue. People don't know that they're throwing away a good engine. The Honda GCV 160 is a tank and it's parts are still plentiful and they last forever if you do the proper maintenance on them. Every find I get that has a Honda engine, I keep em. Honda's going to quit making mower engines in the US. If you find one, get it.

It might sound dumb, but it probably needs either a proper carb rebuild, or the coils are bad. My Command horizontal did the same thing. Found plastic shards inside the carb. And coils are super common faliures on command twins

Green thing was not just a gasket. Was also a heat shield.

It could be the valve adjustment but I lean toward the points and condenser if it has them or bad coil. If it has solid state ignition I would think it was a possibility. I would check to see if it has spark when it fails to start to narrow it down as a first and easy step to satisfy my curiosity if nothing else.

My brother's HRR216K9VKAA starts fine but the chock stays on for 3-5 minutes. Just started doing this. Replaced thermo wax and didn't see any thing hanging up. Any suggestions??

Good to know. One of my nozzles is partially clogged or something, so will need to look into replacing mine. BTW, your dusty engine is driving me nuts. That is one of the first things I did when I bought bought both of mine. No deep cleaning or such initially, but a spray down with some degreaser (Purple Power full strength) and a gentle rinse with a hose and a quick wipe down.

i ordered a carb like that and put it on and it worked fine until i start cutting grass and then it starts to surge. put the old on oem and works fine. Do you think the jets a different? But it does look like a oem carb

WOW! I could have sworn my switch was fully engaged. Took the switch cover off, pressed the switch a few times remounted cover and started right up after sitting for 8 days.

Should I still look into a transmission cooler if I install this to prolong my transmission life? Or not much needed?

I would say the maim reason you get them is that they are reusable. I been using these since my first car and never had an issue with the maf sensors. I do notice more pick up at the higher rpms.
